Boat Launching Slipways on Anglesey

Anglesey has over 125 miles of stunning coastline like the magnificent Llanddwyn Island and the beautiful Menai Strait which is paradise for water sports.

Launching at Porth Y Wrach in Menai Bridge

Porth Y Wrach Slipway - Menai Bridge

One of Anglesey’s best slipways for launching powered watercraft is at Menai Bridge.

The slipway at Porth Y Wrach is in excellent condition and can be used virtually 24/7. Limited parking is available but can be a bit tight in peak season.

On spring tide the end of the slipway can drop of a bit on the sharp side.

This launch location gives great access to sometimes fast waters of the Swillies between the magnificent Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge, and in the other direction to Beaumaris and Puffin Island.

The slipway is ideal for launching most powered watercraft including jet-skis and even paddle boarding. The slipway has the added advantage of fuel purchase round the corner from RibRide just in front of Dylans Restaurant.
