Benllech beach is located on the eastern side of Anglesey and is one of those classic family beaches. Benllech beach has to be one of Anglesey’s top sandy beaches, a long beach with soft golden sand, where kids can play safely in the sand and build sand castles to their hearts content. Benllech beach has its own promenade with the old fashioned blue railings.

Benllech beach is one of those amazing sandy beaches that is both beautiful in summer and winter. If you enjoy beach walking then you will be in heaven here! It is possible to walk from Benllech along past St. David’s beach round the corner and across Red Wharf bay and onto LLanddona beach and back.

Benllech beach is currently one of 4 beaches on Anglesey that has dog restrictions. From 1st May to 30th September every year dogs are not permitted on the left hand side of Benllech beach. This is due to it being heavily used by families and children. Dogs are more than welcome on the right hand side of the beach. (Please see local signs).
